Killarney National Park:
Reintroduction

In 2007 Killarney National Park provided the first release site for the highly successful White Tailed Eagle reintroduction

We now have White Tailed Eagles breeding in the wild in Donegal, Fermanagh, Tipperary, Clare, Cork and on the lakes in Killarney National Park

The Osprey Reintroduction project is managed and led by National Parks and Wildlife Service. KNP staff play a major role in the iconic project.

The Woodpecker has reintroduced itself successfully and has now successfully bred in KNP this year

The Cuckoo project in KNP is ongoing
